Countdown to My First Show

Ok, friends. This is the last week I have to prepare for my first show. I am still nervous and excited. So I am trying to make sure I have everything covered. I think I have enough inventory to take with me (or at least I hope I do). I have been working on a few more projects for the show. And now I am just doing some prep work. I have decided to dedicate at least one task each day of this week to prepare.

My task list looks a little like this:
Monday - Get a price list together
Tuesday - Take photos of the rest of my projects
                 Get my "tool box" together
Wednesday - Print out the rest of my photos to include in my album
                      Pick up a receipt book
Thursday - Carefully package each item so I can transport them safely
Get all of my materials and supplies together
Friday - Load everything into my car (so I don't have to scramble in the morning)
Get myself together to make sure I look good for the show!
Saturday - The show!
Make sure I have an awesome display to draw people in!

Yesterday I got my price list together. I figured it would be easier for me if I had it all written down. Plus, if I was shopping around, I would get tired of asking "how much is this?" for each item I was interested in. A printed out price list just seemed easier and more convenient for me and for customers.

Today, I have already taken photos of the rest of my projects. Then I will put my "tool box'' together. The tool box will consist of just in case items I might need to help set up or for emergency fixes. Such items include: tape, sewing needle, some yarn and twine, extra ribbon, glue, measuring tape, sharpie marker, scissors, clothes pins. I think that should cover it for my tool box.

Now, to show you some of the stuff I have been working on for the show:

I made a shop banner to hang on my tent
I also painted a shop sign to set up on the other side of my tent

Some more paintings I have been working on

And some other projects

My clay angel!

My apple fairy!

I am pretty proud of the items I have created and of how much I have grown artistically since starting my shop and my blog. I really hope that customers can see this when they stop by my Etsy shop or at my tent this Saturday.

  2. Thank you so much for the encouragement! I like my apple fairy too. She was an item I made for the apple inspired challenge. Hopefully, she will find a home this weekend!
