Updates

Hello, my lovely blog followers! I have been a bit busy trying to get some things together for the show. I have also been trying some new things and putting some stuff together for other people. But I figured it would be a nice time to update you on some of what I have been working on. So here goes:

Remember that twine cornucopia we made? Well, I made some clay fruit and some felt and ribbon flowers for it.
Now it's a complete decorative piece!

I decided to experiment a little more with the fabulous painting set my sister got me!

This  came from an old photo of my mother:
Not exactly the same, but not too bad for my first portrait painting!

If you recall, I was working on some special projects for my sister. Here is one of them. I started out with this
This is what I did with them!

Each angel was painted with features of the little girl the box will be going to.

Here is some other stuff I have been working on. Some of it, you will find in my Etsy shop at http://www.etsy.com/shop/BettysBlock?ref=si_shop (or you can click on the tab at the top of the page to check out other items in my shop) if you would like to purchase any of them.

As you can see, I have been pretty busy! I will be creating some more items. And I will share them with you as well. But in the mean time, I may miss a few more projects of the week. So please don't think I have abandoned them! I'm just trying to make sure I have enough of a variety for this show that I am still pretty nervous and excited about! Thanks for stopping by today!

Just wanted to also let you know I like your paintings. Was surprised when you started posting them. You should definitely continue those as well!
